The new LIGHT RIDE in Lenzerheide has opened successfully. The combination of toboggan challenge and light art is unique and hits the nerve of the time. Numerous “light riders” fought for the podium and diligently collected time credits, broke speed records and roared through the multi-sensory light installations.
In addition to the regular events on Wednesday and Saturday evenings, the LIGHT RIDE can now also be experienced on Monday evenings. The LIGHT RIDE is in operation from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and is located on the lower part of the Scharmoin-Canols toboggan run.
Lenzerheide reinvents night sledging and stages a multi-sensory sledging challenge. The LIGHT RIDE is a new kind of tobogganing experience for young and old that combines multi-sensory light installations with a tobogganing challenge. Behind the new offer are the creators of the Zauberwald Lenzerheide, who have been working on an idea for the combination of light art, games and tobogganing for some time.
The two associations Lenzerheide Magic Forest and “Culture on the Pass” are sending out a sign of hope – especially now in these very challenging days in the canton of Graubünden. Despite the postponement of the “Lenzerheide Magic Forest” event, the two associations have deliberately decided to create an extraordinary light installation in the squirrel forest in Lenzerheide. The “Sign of HOPE” lighting installation will be presented between 11 December 2020 and 3 January 2021.
The “Sign of HOPE” is freely accessible, while at the same time donations will be collected for the longstanding partner of the Magic Forest, the “Denk an mich” foundation. The “Sign of HOPE” is a heartfelt project of the organisers, calling for hope, courage and cohesion in the current uncertain times.
All catering establishments in the Canton of Graubünden will remain closed until midnight on 17 December 2020 as a result of a decision by the Government Council of the Canton of Graubünden.
A list of take-away offers in the mountain restaurants can be found here. We will reopen the mountain restaurants as soon as possible with the appropriate security measures and digital registration of contact details.
